The COVID test positivity rate is going down in our area.
The weekly update has the number at 9.1%, compared to 11.2% in the last report.
However, the number of high risk cases is on the rise with 159 actives.
That’s up from 132 from the last update.
Local health officials note the numbers are lower than the ‘real’ number due to the fact many people are not eligible for PCR testing and instead test positive on Rapid Antigen tests at home and are not counted in the total.
