To date, no one has registered to be a candidate in Dryden for the October 24 Municipal election.
This includes any of the current members of council.
Mayor Greg Wilson has already indicated he doesn’t plan on seeking re-election.
Nominations have been open since May 1.
They will close on August 19 at 2:00 p.m.
The only candidates to file their papers are for school trustees.
If the election were to be held today, Barb Gauthier would earn the English Public position, Micheline Lovenuk the French Separate seat, and Kathy Bryck the English Separate position.
The nomination period for municipal council and school board elections has begun and lasts until Aug 19!
Candidates filing nominations in municipal elections with 4,000 electors or more need 25 signatures to endorse their nominations.
