A reminder is being put out to put your name forward to become a member of the Kenora District Services Board.
As part of the 2022 Municipal election, votes are also being held for those in the unincorporated area to join the KDSB.
A total of four spaces are up for grabs in the local Territory Without Municipal Organization and they are in Lac Seul, Oxdrift, Lake of the Woods North, and Lake of the Woods South.
Nominations must be submitted by 2 o’clock on Friday, August 19.
A person is eligible to be a DSSAB member representing territory without municipal organization if they are:
-Canadian citizen
-Is at least 18 years of age
-A permanent resident of the territory without municipal organization
-An owner or tenant of property in the territory without municipal organization
-The spouse or partner of an owner or tenant of property in the territory without municipal organization
