Dryden Rotary will be releasing 1,000 ducks in the Wabigoon River on September 18, all for a good cause.
It’s the Lucky Duck Race, a fundraiser for youth programming in the community.
Tickets are $5 and are available at Lotto One and from any Rotary member.
Sheri Lang says cash prizes will be awarded for the five fastest rubber ducks. (1st: $1,000. 2nd: $500. 3rd: $400. 4th: $300. 5th: $200)
The public is encouraged to come out and watch the Sunday, September 18 race at 2:00 pm.
It will start at Skene’s Landing/Victoria Street Dock.
