The Northwestern Health Unit is preparing to administer flu shots in local communities.
They should be made available in mid-October.
You will be able to get the shot at health unit clinics, health care providers and participating pharmacies.
Officials stress the flu shot is the best defence against influenza and is recommended for everyone aged 6 months and up.
