COVID Outbreak Over At Sioux Lookout Hospital

A COVID-19 outbreak at the Meno Ya Win Health Centre in Sioux Lookout has been lifted.

The hospital says the outbreak was declared over after 10 days of no new positive cases.

President and CEO Douglas Semple says by expanding infection control measures within the hospital, they were able to contain the outbreak in a short period of time.

Semple is thanking staff for their hard work and dedication to infection prevention and control and keeping patients, visitors and staff safe.
