The Northwest “AAA” hockey branch playdowns will be taking place in Kenora this weekend.
The Thunder Kings will be the opposition for the Kenora Thistles in the U13 and U18 championships.
The first game will take place at 4:30 on Friday in the best-of-three U13 championship series at the Moncrief Construction Sports Center (Kenora Rec. Center).
The first game in the U18 championship will take place at 7:00, also on Friday.
Game two for the U13 will be at 4:30 Saturday, and 11 am Sunday, if necessary.
For the U18 championship, game two will be at 7:00 Saturday night, and game three, if necessary will be at 1:30 Sunday afternoon.
The winner of the U18 championship will advance to the Telus Western Regional Championships for Manitoba and Saskatchewan while the team advancing from the U13 series will advance to the Ontario provincials.
