The Kenora District Services Board has provided an update on early years and child care programming.
Due to labour action between unions and the province today, the following before and after-school programs aren’t available today:
-Joseph’s Early Learning Centre-Dryden
-John’s Early Learning Centre-Red Lake
-Louis Early Learning Centre-Kenora
-Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre-Sioux Lookout
St. Joseph’s Early Learning Centre and Sacred Heart Early Learning Centre continue to run day programming for children from infant to pre-school age.
All KDSB operation Early Learning Centre’s within Keewatin Patricia District School Board locations remain operational.
The strike by education workers represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees has entered its first day, with members of the Ontario Public Service Employees Union taking part today in solidarity with CUPE.
