Contract Impasse Continues For CUPE Education Workers

The union representing education workers is disputing media reports of the government’s tiered wage offer being increased to 3.5% for workers making under $40,000 and 2% for all others.

The Canadian Union of Public Employees says that is not an offer they have received, nor is it one they will accept.

They say it falls short of what workers need.

The union wants all wages increased by $3.25 an hour.
