More Jail Guards For Northwestern Ontario

Northwestern Ontario jails will be getting more staff.

A total of 118 officers recently graduated from the Ontario’s Corrections Centre for Professional Advancement and Training and 30 have been allocated for the north.

Four officers will be assigned to the Kenora Jail and three will be sent to the Fort Frances Jail.

Twelve officers will be assigned to the Thunder Bay Correctional Centre.

Two probation and parole officers will also work in the region out of Geraldton and Thunder Bay.
