Ice Dogs Split Games With Kam River

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs crawled a little closer to the Kam River Fighting Walleye for first place in the SIJHL.

The Ice Dogs outlasted the Walleye 9-5 Saturday night. On Friday night, the Ice Dogs lost to Kam River 6-3.

The Walleye lead the league with 47 points, eight points up Dryden.

Elsewhere in the SIJHL, it was a busy weekend for the Red Lake Miners with three games.

On Friday, the Minster topped the Fort Frances Lakers 8-5 and followed that up with a 5-4 win on Saturday night.

On Sunday, the Miners skated to a 3-1 victory over the Wisconsin Lumberjacks.

The Sioux Lookout Bombers shut out the Thunder Bay North Stars Saturday night 1-0.

On Friday night, the North Stars escaped with a 4-3 win over the Bombers in overtime.
