29 Killed In 2 U.S. Shootings

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is sending his condolences after two separate mass shootings in the U.S. that killed at least 29 people.

The first happened at a busy shopping complex in El Paso, Texas, on Saturday morning.

Twenty people were killed and more than two dozen others were hurt.

One person was taken into custody.

John Bash, U.S. Attorney for the West District of Texas, says the Department of Justice is investigating the shooting as an act of domestic terrorism.

Meanwhile, nine people are dead and at least 27 others are hurt after a shooting in Dayton, Ohio early this morning.

Police say the suspected shooter is also dead.
