Eagle River Welcomes Valentines Day

Another shout-out of ‘well done’ to the Eagle River volunteers who helped decorate the welcome area to the community!
And my thanks to Eagle River volunteer Connie Calvert for sharing the following description and photos of the Valentines display……..
Time for reds, pinks, tinsel, hearts and chocolate treats,
To acknowledge those who we care about and others we think are sweet.

Eagle River residents step up to the plate,
To once again make our little park first rate.
We will start with the Peeters/Kirst’s…a very busy family,
So Connie Calvert helped decorate their tree.
Kathy Pippy Evans shared her expertise,
Her tree glistens with pretty pinks, a sight for all to see.
She decorates with vigor and it turns out so great!
Thank you so much Kathy, for helping us celebrate!
The Briar and Orin tree is adorned in red,
Gram Ursula Rhyner is laid up in bed.
So Carmene Hampe created a tree of red,
Forming a heart to wish her well and join is in the cold instead.
Tanya Larson created her tree of red and pink,
Pretty to look at…don’t you think?
Her artistic finesse is welcome to our group,
We are beyond excited she is part of our troop!
Lisa Durocher created a festive look of home made hearts,
What a delight this gorgeous tree imparts,
Her hand crafted genius, such an awesome sight,
The hand crafted display is a total delight!
The Jaeger trees were a group effort by Lisa, Carm, Tanya and Kathy..who
bring smiles to the display,
Not only that, they even got to play!
The month of love is not all about romance,
But about those you love so let them know…when you have a chance!
Thank you to all involved to bring this to you,
And may you enjoy the hearts and the treats too!
