A number of people with Dryden ties will be inducted into the Northwestern Ontario Sports Hall of Fame in September.
Bruce Ramsay and Todd Howarth will be honored as part of the 1988-89 Thunder Bay Flyers Centennial Cup Champion Hockey team.
Dryden born Dennis Owchar will also be recognized in the Athletes category.
Owchar played in the NHL for 6 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and Colorado Rockies.
In the Builders category, Merv King will be honored for helping get the sport of Judo off the ground in Sunset Country.
King learned the sport in Dryden before moving to Kenora.
