The Federal Government has provided the Dryden Aboriginal Women’s Resource Centre with $40,000 in Canadian Heritage funding.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford was at the Centre Thursday to make the announcement.
The money will support the Centre’s Aboriginal Community Workshops.
Rickford says the money is being put to good use.
The workshops address a number of topics ranging from traditional teachings and cultural heritage to self-awareness, parenting skills and family violence.
President Millie Flamand says she’s grateful for the funding.
