The Red Lake Airport was home to search and rescue training Wednesday.
The 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron from Winnipeg did demonstrations and also practiced parachuting from a CC-130 Hercules aircraft.
Major Adam Petney says it was routine training that consisted of delivering supply and personnel to objects on the ground.
Petney says Red Lake airport was picked because of great weather and different terrain.
He adds the training went smoothly.
The Squadron provides primary search and rescue response in Canada.
