Adam Moir scored in regulation time for Dortmund, while Evan Armit opened the scoring for United.
Dortmund advanced to the final by beating the Sioux Lookout Old Boys 5-4 in the semi-finals, while United doubled up the Sioux Lookout Pelicans 4-2 in the other semi.
