Team Canada has left Ottawa for the 2023 Invictus Games in Düsseldorf, Germany.

National Defense says the 31 competitors have trained hard for the games as they embark on this major milestone in their road to recovery.

Twelve serving Canadian Armed Forces members and 19 Veterans who have acquired an illness or a physical or mental health injury while in service to our country will compete.

From September 9th to 16th, Team Canada will join more than 500 athletes from 21 other nations competing in ten adaptive sports such as archery, powerlifting and wheelchair basketball.
