One year anniversary since the passing of Queen Elizabeth II

It was one year ago today, September 8, when Britain’s longest reigning monarch passed away.

Queen Elizabeth II ruled for 70 years.

Gun salutes and tolling bells in the United Kingdom marked the anniversary and acknowledged the day King Charles III took the throne alongside Queen Camilla.

Premier Tim Houston expressed thoughts on twitter.

Queen Elizabeth died at the age of 96.
