Tonight’s Powerball jackpot over $800 million in the US

While Canadians wait to find out who wins the record-breaking $68 million Lotto 6/49 Gold Ball jackpot tonight, there’s an even bigger lottery draw in the United States!

Tonight’s Powerball jackpot has grown to $835 million – the fourth largest in the game’s history.

The grand prize increased from $785 million after there was no winner Monday.

Powerball’s last jackpot was won in July – and at $1.08 billion, was the third largest in its history.

There have been 29 consecutive draws since then without a grand prize.

Powerball says the odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292.2 million.

If there’s a winner, they’ll have to choose between 30 annual payments or a lump sum of $390.4 million.
