Ignace seeks more candidate to go to Finland

The Town of Ignace is looking to send a few more people to Finland at the end of the this month.

This is a fact finding mission for the deep geological nuclear repository and is being organized by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization.

The final day to submit a letter of interest to be part of the junket is coming up quick.

The deadline is 3:00 Thursday afternoon.

The “letter” should include your interest in the mission, and answers the following three questions:
• Why do you believe that you should be selected to join the Ignace delegation to Finland?
• How will you share your experiences from this trip with the community, your neighbours, your family
and friends?
• Do you agree to participate in a public information forum and other events when you return from
Finland?
Once submitted and reviewed by the Willingness-Ignace Nuclear Liaison Committee, a ranked list will be
submitted to Ignace Council for review and approval.

Right now eight people are registered to go to Finland.
