Three hunters fined for illegally killing a moose

Hunters from Red Lake, Dryden and Hearst have been fined a total of $11,000 for illegally hunting a moose in the Red Lake area.

Last October conservation officers were given a tip that a group was hunting moose from a boat on Alford Lake.

A moose was shot and one of the hunters, Eric Plouffe has been fined $5.000 for hunting without a licence in that Wildlife Management Unit and discharging his firearm for a motor boat.

A second hunter, Dylan Auger has also been fined $4,000 for hunting moose without a licence and unlawfully invalidating a tag.

And finally the third hunter Robert Plouffe has been fined $2,000 for hunting without a licence.
