6 Canadians confirmed dead, two missing in Israel-Hamas war

Six Canadians are now confirmed dead and two missing as the war rages on in the Middle East between Israel and Hamas.

Foreign-Affairs Minister Melanie Joly confirmed the news through tears when speaking with reporters this Tuesday morning, while she gave her condolences.

Joly says 1,300 people have now been evacuated with flights 11 and 12 leaving Tel Aviv today and pleads with those still in the area to get in touch with Global Affairs and to get out while they can.

There are currently more than 6,800 people from our country registered with Global Affairs in Israel.
