Municipal leaders from across the region will be descending on Thunder Bay later this week.
The Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association Convention is taking place at the Victoria Inn.
The opening session will take place on Wednesday at noon and wrap on Friday afternoon.
In addition to mayor, town and city councilors, NOMA will attract a number of provincial cabinet ministers.
That includes Graydon Smith, the minister of Natural Resources, Paul Calandra, the Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Education Minister Steven Lecce.
