The chief of the Grassy Narrows First Nation has his eye on a bigger prize.

Rudy Turtle says he will be running for the job of Ontario Regional Chief.

The tradition election will be held next month.

Turtle has been chief of Grassy Narrows for two terms and also unsuccessfully ran for the NDP in the last federal election.

His resume also includes helping create the First Nations Land Alliance.

The Chiefs of Ontario will be holding it’s annual assembly and election for regional chief on the Six Nations Reserve June 11th to 13th.
