Canadian canoers win bronze in Paris

Katie Vincent and Sloan MacKenzie have paddled to another bronze medal at the Paris Olympics.

They competed in the C-2 500 metre event on Friday and placed third in 1:54.36. That was just 0.06 behind the silver medallists for Ukraine.

In 2023, MacKenzie and Vincent reached the world championship podium for the first time in the same event, winning a bronze medal.

MacKenzie is from Windsor Junction, Nova Scotia, while Vincent is from Southern Ontario.

Canada now has 22 Olympic medals, six gold, five silver and 11 bronze.
