9-Year-Old Dies in Hospital

A young child has succumbed to injuries sustained in a two vehicle collision on Monday afternoon.
Thunder Bay OPP say an eastbound Ford Focus lost control and struck a westbound Ford Explorer on the Trans-Canada in the Municipality of Shuniah.
Four people in the Focus were transported to Hospital.
9-year-old Paige Matte-Gurney died on Tuesday night.
Another child remains in Hospital.
The driver of the Explorer wasn’t injured but the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
