A Crisis For The Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service

The Chief of the Nishnawbe Aski Police says he can’t run the service effectively and it’s only going to get worse.
Bob Herman says not only is government funding not adequate, they’re heading into another dilemma.
From a staffing perspective, as of March 31st, Herman says they won’t have access to funding that the federal government has provided for 11 positions over the past five-years.
He says they hope the government realizes the situation they’re in and comes to the table with something meaningful instead of just giving band-aid solutions.
