A Reminder That Smoke Alarms Save Lives

No one was injured following a small fire at a River Heights Drive home in Dryden.

Crews were dispatched to the residence Monday afternoon around 3:45.

A wicker chair caught on fire and the home was quickly filled with heavy smoke.

One person was asleep at the time but woke up when the smoke alarm was activated.

A resident from the home was able to knock down the fire before it was extinguished by firefighters.
