A Trio Of Road Losses For Kenora Thistles

The struggles continue for the Kenora ‘AAA’ Midget Thistles.

The Thistles dropped three games on the road on the weekend.

The trip started on an encouraging note Friday as Kenora dropped a heartbreaking 3-2 overtime decision to the Central Plains Capitals.

Colin Lapointe of Vermilion Bay had an assist as did Sioux Lookout’s Dylan Bertrand.

However, things did change with an 8-1 loss to the Southwest Cougars on Saturday.

Dryden’s Ben Hackl and Sam Brunton both assisted on the lone Kenora goal.

The Thistles then fell 9-2 to the Brandon Wheat Kings on Sunday.

Kenora has now lost 8 of their last 9 games.
