It was a winning weekend for Sioux Lookout’s AA bantam hockey team.
The Sioux Flyers could not be beaten for six games and captured the A side championship of the Dryden Paper Kings Classic with a 2-0 victory over the Fort Frances Canadians Sunday afternoon.
After going 3-0-1 in the round robin the Flyers dispatched Dryden 3-2 in overtime in the semi final game before taking the final game against Fort.
Dryden beat Kenora to win the B side honors.
Sioux Lookout was powered by brothers Quinten and Eil Loon-Stewardson who combined for 17 goals and 26 points over the weekend. They also received three shutouts from the goaltending duo of Magnus Rae and Seth McKay.
The Flyers and Paper Kings return to the ice next weekend at the Fort Frances tournament.
