Abitibi Consolidated told investors today, they used the
53 million dollar sale of timberlands near Thunder Bay, to
offset the costs of idling the Kenora, and Stephenville,
Newfoundland mills.
Although, Abitibi hasn’t decided on the future of it’s
Kenora mill, President John Weaver says they do have a
plan in place to deal with environmental issues.
