Abitibi Employees Take Action

The Union representing 4,500 Abitibi-Consolidated employees has voted to go on strike if necessary.
Members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union are employed at 13 Mills including Kenora and Fort Frances.
CEP Spokesperson Joe Hanafin says there are indications Abitibi wants to return to the bargaining table in 2 weeks.
Employees have been without a contract since April 30th.
