Abitibi-Consolidated has completed an in-depth operational review of four of its mills, including the newsprint mills
in Kenora and Fort William.
The reviews were conducted to try and find ways of reducing operating costs.
Company spokesperson Denis LeClerc says while the operational review is finished, it will take a few weeks for company officials to make any decisions based on the findings.
Options include everything from shutting down individual paper machines, to moth-balling mills altogether.
