Abitibi Site Almost Bare in Kenora

It’s the end of an era in Kenora
Abitibi Consolidated’s sulphite plant was pulled down Tuesday morning.
Hundreds of people gathered to check out the action.
Former Mill employee Rob Lindstrom says it was sad to see one of Kenora’s oldest mills be dismantled.
The old recycling plant and a couple of warehouses are the only other remaining buildings still standing on the mill property.
