A new Economic Development Agency has been established by the
Nishnawbe-Aski Nation to try and solve the serious housing shortage on
First Nation communities in Northwestern Ontario.
Project Manager Les Louttit says there is currently the need for as
many as 5,000 housing units on remote Aboriginal communities.
Louttit says as many as 26-First Nation communities in the North have
been visited and are looking at participating in the pilot project.
