Aboriginals Want a Say in New Census

The Leader of the Nishnawbe-Aski Nation is asking the Federal Government to consult with them on proposed changes to the 2011 census.
Grand Chief Stan Beardy says several barriers stand in the way of many First Nation communities participating in the census.
Beardy notes that language is one of his main concerns as many of his people speak their own language.
Industry Minister Tony Clement has said the long-form census will be scrapped for 2011 and what form the new census takes is still being worked out.
