Accessibility Funding For Red Lake Outdoor Rink

The Trudeau government is out with funding for a community project in Red Lake.

The Liberals are providing 50-thousand dollars for the construction of a concrete surface at the outdoor rink.

Kenora MP Bob Nault made the announcement yesterday.

The upgrades will provide accessibility within and surrounding the rink surface.

It will also allow for the possibility of an enclosure sometime down the road.

Two accessibility projects in Kenora also received funding.

50-thousand dollars is going to St. Nicholas Church in Kenora to install a new elevator system.

NeChee Friendship Center will also be getting just over 38 thousand dollars for improvements to their building on
2nd Street South.

The money will go towards the installation of intercom systems, push-button door openers, automatic soap dispensers, automatic hand dryers, automatic faucets, and grab rails by toilets.
