Both the Atom and Peewee Mighty Moose Affiliate teams were busy this past weekend.

The Atom team went to Winnipeg to take part in the A1 Division, St.Vital Chill Atomic Cup.

Although the girls came up short, they all showed immense improvement and promise in the tournament.

Coach Cory Oltsher said “The experience of playing against this high caliber of hockey teams will help develop these girls to be a better team and we are very proud of the them all”.

Meanwhile the Peewee team traveled to Minnesota to take part in the Hibbing-Chisholm 12UB tournament.

In Round Robin Play they went undefeated with scores of 1-1 against Cloquet, 5-0 against Eagan-IGH and 11-1 against Brainerd-Little Falls.

In the end the team got Silver as they lost to Moose Lake who are the 2nd ranked team in the state of Minnesota.

The final score of that game was 3-2 in overtime.

The PeeWee Mighty Moose beat 3rd and 4th state ranked teams 2 weeks ago in Breezy Point putting them in great shape to be looked at as the 3rd best team in the state of Minnesota for the month of November.
