Additional Charges Regarding Protest

OPP have now charged 12 people with 2-counts of mischief in relation to
this week’s blockade north of Kenora.
Officers were called Tuesday after a group of about 25-people set up a
roadblock on the English River Road to protest clear-cutting operations.
OPP say all of the protesters arrested participated in the Highway 17A
blockade on July 13th.
Only 3 of the accused are actually from Grassy Narrows.
The other protesters are from the Toronto area, Hamilton, Kingston,
Winnipeg, British Columbia and the States.
