Opposition to a proposal to use taxpayer money to help launch the
Lifelease Seniors Complex in Dryden continues to grow.
A petition has been submitted to Council with 600-signatures.
Organizers say the names were collected over a 3-week span and most
believed that the City should not be in the business of loans and mortgages.
Supporters believe the bridge-financing is needed to help proposed
tenants cover the high down payment and to get the project off the ground.
