Adult Education Eliminated

The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board has axed the financially challenged Adult Education program.
Running Adult Ed this year would have resulted in a loss of $211,000 for the Board and $33,000 for Cresive.
Superintendent of Finance Dean Carrie says they need to look at saving money and lowering their million dollar deficit.
Board Chair Dave Penny says it was a hard decision to make as there is demand for the program.
The program will continue to run until the end of June.
The Board says alternate methods to deliver the program are being reviewed.
