Canada’s largest aboriginal group is calling on Ottawa to make
restitution after a report native children and adults were the
subject of nutritional experiments.
The Assembly of First Nations has passed an emergency resolution at its annual meeting in Whitehorse, Yukon calling for the release of all records pertaining to aboriginal schools.
The experiments are said to have been conducted between 1942 and 1952 on 1,300 people.
National Chief Shawn Atleo says all Canadians need to know
exactly what occurred.
