A movement is underway to establish French service childcare in northwestern Ontario.
The Association des francophones du Nord-Quest de l’Ontario is looking at setting up Francophone childcare centres in eight communities including Dryden, Red Lake and Ignace.
Executive Director Elodie Grunerud says the services would be good for the community and also offer more options for Francophone families.
Other communities being looked at include Terrace Bay, Marathon, Manitouwadge, Geraldton and Longlac as well.
