Aggressive Fundraising Campaign In Machin Almost Over

One final push for new playground equipment at Machin Park.

The Vermilion Bay Lions Club and Friends of the Post are holding a Canada Day Fish Fry at the Lions Hall.

There will be entertainment and door prizes.

Tickets are $15 and children under the age of 6 get in for $5.

Jolie Kujansuu, Shirley Koroniak and Gary Hutchison were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Friday to talk about the event and fundraiser.

Koroniak says they are hoping that this will be the largest fundraiser yet as it will be their final one.

She says they will be able to order the equipment once the July 1st event is completed.

The Lions have committed $10,000 to the project and several professionals have stepped forward to donate their expertise.
