The Northwest Local Health Integration Network is expanding aging at home programs.
$3-million was announced Tuesday for 16-community and home based initiatives.
The money will help provide health care and respite services for Seniors who want to stay in their own home.
It also reduces Emergency Room wait times.
The funding is up $1-million from last year and will help some 725 Northwestern Ontario Seniors.
CEO Laura Kokocinski says an aging population is challenging them to do things differently.
