‘Aging in Place’ Committee Formed

An ‘Aging in Place’ support committee has been formed in Dryden.
The group is discussing the growing needs of providing services and health care to Seniors in our area.
Katherine Campbell is with the Family Health Team and says one initiative is establishing a directory to help seniors obtain information on the services available in Dryden.
The Committee says several barriers remain in place including volunteer support and funding.
Campbell says the long-term goal is to obtain funds and programs to support their initiatives as well as securing additional supportive housing units.
