Small airports in the region can expect some help from the Federal Government to improve security.
In the wake of last years terror attacks, some flights have been cut due to a lack of security.
Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault says discussions have been held with the Minister of Transportation as to how to improve security arrangements in Northwestern Ontario.
While the Feds have been focusing on larger airports, Nault says the Liberals are ready to focus more attention on the smaller facilities.
Nault has recommended that airports in the region put together a joint proposal in making sure no one is left out.
