The Sioux Lookout Airport will use $4.4-million in Federal
funding to upgrade safety systems.
Manager Jack Santerre says the money will be go towards the expansion
of aviation ramps and the taxiway as well as upgrades to the lighting systems.
Santerre says the project is the first part of a comprehensive 10-year
expansion and renewal plan.
He says the upgrades are needed to handle current traffic levels.
