Alice Eunice Kushner

In loving memory of Alice Kushner, age 83, who passed away peacefully at the Dryden Regional Health Centre on Tuesday, May 24th.

Alice was born in Dryden on July 17, 1927 to Joseph and Louise Wintersgill. She lived her whole life in Dryden. She was a member of the Catholic Women’s League and Royal Canadian Legion. She worked for years in the Central Hotel and later in Trans Canada Motel. Alice loved to read and knit, collect salt and pepper shakers, but Bingo was her passion. Alice was a loving, sweet soul and a caregiver with a heart of gold who added joy to every life.

Alice is survived by her daughter Terry (Dave) Paton, and Bob (Katie) Kushner and one granddaughter Sara Patrie, sisters: Beth Angers, Evelyn (Ernie) Toffan, Laura Vodon, Barbara (Bryan)Egan and numerous nephews and nieces, including Nancy (Fred) Leeson.

Alice was predeceased by her husband, Bill, son Billy and her parents, and sisters Peg McMillan and Francis Wintersgill.

Prayers to take place May 26th at 6 p.m. at the Dryden Community Funeral Home. Funeral Mass to be held on May 27th at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church with Father Al Campeau officiating.

Internment will follow at the Dryden Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, if desired, memoriam donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Alice’s memoray.
